Justice Minister Helen McEntee has assured that she is doing everything possible to change the laws on surrogacy in Ireland which Mark Feehily considers unfair. In 2019, the pop star had a daughter through surrogate motherhood and he felt how discriminatory these laws are. He said: “Imagine that someone comes up to you and says that this is not your child.” The current law says so to many people and this is what needs to be changed, to change this real injustice. Therefore, Mark Feehily is now actively participating in the campaign to change the legislation on surrogate motherhood.
