Malta Health Minister Chris Fearne spoke at a press conference about the IVF drug reimbursement scheme. He also emphasized that the draft law on the introduction of surrogate motherhood is almost ready. However, he did not provide a clear answer to the question of whether pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) will be introduced as part of the IVF process. Nevertheless, he noted that there will be reimbursement of the cost of IVF drugs in the form of a grant to all couples who started the cycle on January 1 of this year.
