After agreement, with the help of thorough checks, a surrogate mother is selected. The parties sign all necessary legal documents related to the process. With the help of in vitro fertilization (IVF), embryos of the intended parents are created. For this, the woman takes medication to stimulate the egg, which is then removed from the ovary under anesthesia. This egg is fertilized with a man’s sperm and embryos are obtained, which are cultivated in an incubator for five days. There are cases when donor eggs or sperm are used. Meanwhile, the surrogate mother is taking medication to prepare for the embryo transfer. After the successful transfer of the embryo of the intended parents into the uterus of the surrogate mother, pregnancy begins, during which the surrogate mother constantly takes medication to maintain the pregnancy. The process ends with the birth of a child.
