Provided that the intended parents had undergone full medical examination before they came to Ukraine and have indications for infertility treatment by means of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, which is supported by duly apostilled medical documentation, the surrogacy process in Ukraine from the medical and organizational side consists of the following stages:
– Signing Services Agreement with Surrogacy Agency;
– Signing an Agreement for medical services such as IVF, ICSI, etc.;
– Signing Gestational Surrogacy Agreement and other related documents notarized locally;
– Taking the materials from patients, or obtaining donor’s oocytes or sperm (at least one parent must provide his material);
– In vitro fertilization (IVF);
– Embryos transfer in 5 days;
– Pregnancy test in 14 days, repeating embryos’ injection if needed;
– Ultrasound diagnostics (USD) in 10 days, confirmation of pregnancy;
– Medical supervision over a surrogate mother during 1st and 2nd trimester including genetic screening, USDs and medical checkup by a doctor;
– If needed, hospitalization and pregnancy maintenance;
– Moving of surrogate mother to Kyiv after 30th week of pregnancy;
– Delivery, 3 days’ stay in the maternity ward;
– Obtaining birth certificate of the child;
– Obtaining passport of the child.
