Ana Obregón, 68 Years Old Actress From Spain, Has a Surrogacy Daughter, Whose Biological Father is Ana’s Deceased Son

Ana Obregón clarifies rumors about becoming a mother again at 68. She recently shared details about her new family member, revealing that her granddaughter, Ana Sandra Lequio Obregón (nicknamed Anita), was born through a surrogate in the U.S. The baby girl is not her daughter but her late son’s.

Ana Obregón’s late son, Aless Lequio, passed away from cancer at 27 in May 2020. Aless is her son with Italian aristocrat Alessandro Lequio. Ana explains that Ana Sandra is Aless’s daughter. She intends to tell Ana Sandra about her father Aless’s bravery and ensure she is proud of him.

The process of conceiving Aless’s baby started after his passing. Aless had expressed his wishes to both Ana and Lequio, freezing his sperm before undergoing chemotherapy. The samples were preserved in the United States, leading to the decision to use a U.S.-based surrogate, despite surrogacy being prohibited in Spain.

The legal process took three years due to legalities. Legally, Ana Sandra will be considered Ana’s daughter, but she will always know that Ana Obregón is her grandmother.

It took multiple attempts before a successful pregnancy, making the journey a long one. Ana acknowledges that this process has kept her going during difficult times.

In an emotional Instagram post, Ana expressed her love for Aless, promising to take care of Ana Sandra with all her love. She feels a deep connection to Aless when holding Ana Sandra and believes he watches over them from heaven.

Ana concludes by expressing her undying love for Aless and her commitment to being the best mother and grandmother she can be.
