Ireland creates Special Committee on International Surrogacy

The Government of Ireland has given the green light to the creation of a Special Committee on International Surrogacy.

Currently, the Department of Health and the General Prosecutor’s Office are developing a bill on assisted human reproduction, which does not regulate the issue of donor reproduction and international surrogacy.

In this connection, the rights of paternity and identification were violated.

So these important issues will be considered by the Special Committee of the Oireachtas and within three months will report so that the necessary legislative provisions are included in the bill on assisted human reproduction.
