Найстарша матір України Валентина Підвербна з Чернігова хоче повернути свою дитину та подала апеляцію до суду

This was reported by Ms. Pidverbna’s lawyer, Mr. Andriy Kotenok.

According to him, they believe that the child should be close to the mother, and there were no legal grounds to take her away.

The appeal is scheduled for mid-January 2024.

Just to remind that the case against the oldest mother of Ukraine, Ms. Valentyna Pidverbna, was opened after posts from her daughter appeared on social networks on April 24, 2023, where it was said that the mother was abusing the girl physically and psychologically. In particular, that she beats, scratches, harasses, forbids washing and wants to lead to suicide.

On April 25, by the decision of the executive committee of the Chernihiv City Council, the child was taken away from the mother and placed in the hospital. She stayed there for a month. On May 26, the child was transferred to the center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children in the village of Khmilnytsia.

On October 20, the Novozavodsk District Court of Chernihiv decided to take the child away from Valentyna Pidverbna.

Previously, the Novozavodsk District Court of Chernihiv considered other cases of Valentyna Pidverbna – regarding improper performance of parental duties and domestic violence against her daughter. Both cases were closed. Before that, at the beginning of March 2023, the court closed another administrative case about Podverbna’s failure to fulfill her duties regarding raising children.
