In vitro fertilization
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a method of assisted reproductive technology (ART), in which the fertilization of a woman’s egg by a man’s sperm takes place in a laboratory.
This method is usually prescribed when pain simple methods of treatment do not give the desired results.
The process of in vitro fertilization (IVF) itself is divided into such stages as hyperstimulation of the ovaries, it is carried out to release more than one egg.
Then extraction of the egg by aspiration of the follicle and insemination and fertilization.
During these steps, the man’s sperm is mixed with the resulting egg.
The next step, in case of fertilization of the egg, will be the stage of embryo cultivation.
It allows the embryo to divide into several cells, this phase usually lasts about five days.
The final step in this process is the transfer of the embryo to the mother’s womb, which is carried out within three to five days after fertilization.
When the embryo is implanted in the endometrium, the long-awaited pregnancy occurs.
